Tickets are waiting for two events of a kind I've never attended before which happen during March. I'll write about them when they've happened.
Meanwhile, I was in the TV audience for the live showing of the whole Academy Award ceremonies last week, finally going to bed at silly o'clock in the morning. "The Oscars" was entertaining viewing for three hours, especially if, like me, you love a story told well through film. Actually I enjoy a story told well through almost any medium but excellent acting is hard to beat. A long time ago I thought acting would become my career. That didn't happen, although I still like being involved in amateur productions, and have tried my hand at writing for performance.

This picture of me was taken by a great-uncle when I was four years old. The dress was powder blue with a white collar and I still have that hair ribbon!
Another project I've started for my 70th year, but probably won't complete for some months yet, is to make a photograph album of my whole life, in the manner of the old TV show This Is Your Life. If you're as old as I am you will remember that one. Somebody well-known would be surprised by family and friends, and a host called Eamonn Andrews holding a big red book which contained mementoes of their whole life (so far). A few people did not like the surprise element, and one refused to appear on television. However, most of them appreciated the impromptu party, providing reunions with people they may not have seen for years.
Well, it's unlikely anybody is going to do that for me but I can make my own big (blue) book: This Is My Life! and will post updates as I sift through all the printed photographs.
